Again, any information at all about any handbrakes you're familiar with is greatly appreciated. Brevity is not my strong suit, as is plainly obvious. The only one I was really worried about in that case was Heusinkveld as the drivehub doesnt list their handbrake in the compatibility list, and I'm not sure if it is somehow compatible with Fanatec setups already using adapters or not. Having the option to use a physical handbrake would (I imagine) make the experience far better in many circumstances.Īlso, I'm not all that worried about compatibility as worst case scenario I was going to use a collectiveminds drivehub and usb hub if needed. If it makes any difference, the reason I want a handbrake very badly is because I want to try rally simming and although it is doable without an actual handbrake mechanism, it just feels wrong to do so without one. I would hate to rush this decision only to find out that I would have been much better off finding out a little more and getting something else. I can't find much into on anything except the heusinkveld, aiologs, and fanatec handbrakes and I don't want to make this decision blindly with very little information on the available options out there. If anyone could give me any information on any handbrake(s) they are familiar with, I would appreciate it very much. I was having a tough time deciding between heusinkveld and aiologs already, but now I find another one that doesnt seem like a cheap piece of crap (I left all of those out since they dont interest me by any means) and the decision is that much harder considering I dont know much about it besides the brand reputation. Both look pretty awesome, but I really know absolutely nothing about them besides that.Īnd if I wanted to go exclusively electronic, I'm almost back to where I started with the inclusion of the TSS handbrake sparco mod. If I were to want hydraulics, I'd then need to decide if I'd rather get the Realgear Rally Pro, or one of the Derek Speare Designs Designs hydraulic handbrake.

The first decision I think is deciding whether I would be better off with a full electronic setup, or one that uses real liquid hydraulics.

Realgear Rally Pro Vertical Hydraulic Handbrake- ĭerek Speare Designs Hydraulic Handbrakes, v2 & v3 (v2 would likely be the realistic option out of these as awesome as the v3 seems, it looks absolutely massive to the point where I could probably use it even if it were mounted on the floor itself)- Īnd as an honorary mention, I found this and was wondering if there would be any way to convert it to electronic sim use.

TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod (found this when I was deciding what main setup to get, but ruled it out/forgot about it before when I decided to get fanatec gear)- Īnd even found some with real hydraulic systems Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake (was tied for my top choice before now)- Īiologs Sim Handbrake v3 (tied for 1st choice until now)- įanatec Clubsport Handbrake v1.5 (this was the choice if I didn't find any other suitable options as I run mainly fanatec gear). So far this is what I've found that interests me but cant decide between I thought I had discovered all of the handbrakes that were available and narrowed it down to heusinkveld sim handbrake and the aiologs v3 handbrake (with the fanatec as a worst case scenario), but it seems every time I search, I find something new and frankly, I'm not sure which would be best or suitable for me.
